Nepal is rich in its diverse geographical features. The Himalayas comprise the highest mountain ranges in the world, extended through most of Nepal. Eight out of 14 highest mountains in the world including Mt. Everest (8,848 m / 29, 028 ft.) are located in Nepal. Most Nepali people refer Everest as 'Sagarmatha' that means "Forehead in the sky", Tibetan and Sherpa people name it as "Chhomolungma" means "Goddess mother of the world". Tenzing Sherpa, Nepali heart and a New Zealander Sir Edmund Hillary scaled it for the first time on 29 May, 1953 making its glorious history.

Most of the trekkers in the world are well known to Mt. Everest situated at north east of Kathmandu in eastern Nepal. The areas ascend Khumbu are commonly called as the Everest region. Everest trekking comprises, not only the Everest Base Camp but also Namche Bazar, Lukla, Tyanboche and whole Solukhumbu, which are located th the lap of looming Mt. Everest. They have chosen this Solu Khumbu region as one of the famous trekking area. The Everest trekking has rich features that add excitement and heavenly feelings to the viewers. Any trek in this region follows the route of the green emerald called 'Dudh Koshi' (River of Milk) ascending through the forest of rhododendron and pines, rushing rivers, heart touching waterfalls with many flora and fauna, glittering cascades and spectacular sceneries.

It takes through one of the foothills of highest of the mountains in the world. Everest trekking offers exotic and panoramic views of snowcapped peaks such as Makalu, Nuptse, Lhotse, Aama Dablam, Tawache and many more from the peak of Kalapattar residing on the lap of Everest. Tibetan and Sherpas villages, Sagarmatha National Park (World Heritage List I 1976 by UNESCO) Everest Base camp, Tyangboche Monastery, Gokyo Lake, Khumbhu Icefall, Yak caravans etc are the salient features of Everest trekking the Sherpas upper inhabitants of this Solukhumbu region, add more pleasures with their unique culture and traditions, friendly behaviors, picturesque village, festivals, Buddhist monasteries and temples, with rites performed by Lamas (priests ) and their unique life styles, agriculture livestock, trade and mountaineering are their salient occupations.

Everest, exotic region is accessible by only 7 to 10 days walk from Jiri (a small village at the road-end) 10 hours from Kathmandu by bus, or Fly to a small air-strip at Lukla via Kathmandu. Everest trekking has strenuous hike and steep decent. One must have a good mental attitude and strong determination to succeed the mission, Trekkers can have the magnificent views. Not only this, trekkers get attracted to Everest Base Camp Gokyo Lake and the highest wildlife reserve in the world "Sagarmatha National Park " established in 1976 covering the area of 1148 square kilometers. UNESCO has listed the park in world Heritage List for its rich flora and fauna, the mesmerizing mountain and view of Yeti might be a life time experience, but is always not guaranteed..
