Panch Pokhari trek is the recently opened non tourist trekking destination in Nepal. The Panch Pokhari trek is through untouched traditional village in stunning Himalayan Range and beautiful landscapes. This trek offers pristine mountains views, rich culture, genuine adventure, bio diversity, natural beauty. The high altitude holy lakes are secret to Buddhist and Hindu peoples. You have great and closer views of Langtang Range, Jugal Himal, Rolwaling Himal and other snow-capped peaks. Trekkers first travel by bus to Chautara, five hours northeast of Kathmandu towards the Tibetan border.

We travel through a mixture of beautiful mountain scenery and the terraced fields and characteristic houses of rural villages from different ethnic groups. On your first night, you will experience life in the village homes of Sherpa and Tamang people and your guide will give a short talk on trekking, altitude sickness and the highlights of the trek. These include the holy Five Lakes, the incredible Himalayan scenery and the life style of nomadic people unchanged by time. The unusual climatic and geographical mix makes this area a naturalist's dream and a Mecca for those who appreciate traditional cultures.

Moreover lots of historical places, religious places, Caves and naturally beautiful lakes are other important things for noble experience. The 9th highest altitude wetland in the world, Panch Pokhari is source of peace, brotherhood and solace where thousands of pilgrims come on every Janai Purnima from surrounding villages and lots of Shamans (witch doctor) in a special costume visit which is really notable. This is also very significant part of this trek. On the way to this trek, there is very important historical place-Dukhang (Haveli) where so called kingly Kaji rulers used to live 172 years ago and which is noticeable through the ancient art of the building and infrastructure. And most of the history can be revealed through the attached calligraphy. It is said that the Kaji family was linked with Rana rulers to rule the local people of this place.
